This weekend saw a little jaunt to Yarmouth (IOW) and how lovely it was 😊
Despite the rain we popped the sails up and she really feels like a different boat, lighter and she sits in her 'groove' so nicely we barely have to steer!
We heeded the warning of 'do not enter an unlit unknown harbour at night' after a close shave with a mud bank at Newtown and diverted to Yarmouth. The children were most excited to see the lifeboat sitting there in all her glory.
We spent the morning exploring on foot and gathering tasty supplies of local bread and cheese which we demolished for lunch.
We then tidied up and made our way back to the Itchen although we were both very tempted to turn to port (left) out of Yarmouth! We had a lovely sail back and I even managed to bring it alongside 😊⛵️
