In-between exploring Mike got the engine back up and running, we aren't sure why she stopped but as she run up she sounded awful and her oil pressure dropped. A hose had split! Mike spent Monday following a lead on who could supply a replacement and found Hercules hydraulics in Paignton. New hose, oil and filter obtained he returned a little bit worse for wear with the hills and cycling required! Monday and Tuesday night while I was at work he fixed the engine and attempted to clear up the spilt oil (still in progress). We also invested in a new starter battery, we have never heard her turn over so beautifully :-)
A highlight was eating out at the Rockfish restaurant fairly priced, lovely fresh fish and mussels and a real desire to serve their customers.
With a break in the weather anticipated today yesterday was spent preparing the boat we stowed as much as we could and prepped the boat last night adding netting, bungee and ropes to keep everything in its place!
Today we departed and made our way for Dartmouth all went well (quite a bit of smoke from the exhaust!) time to explore while some more gales come our way! Thank you as always for the support and encouragement you have all provided and Val for coming and seeing us. Such a joy to stop and stare :-)
