Today should be D-day for the rigging quote! Watch this space................. On a brighter note we have found a lovely marina on the Hamble, we practically had to drag Jacob away as he was busy spotting the wildlife. We also saw a first a seagull actually caught a fish and was eating it slight change from the normal diet of chips! A stark contrast to the commercial Itchen. It will be our longest sea test yet and our first with our spangly new offshore lifejackets. I will post a picture tomorrow of our new view 😊
Well well well! We are sat around waiting for the final quote on the rigging 😔 another reason Mike does as much as he can himself we would forever be sat around waiting! It looks like the Atlantic crossing is beyond our reach this year which is a huge disappointment but we know our friends understand. But we are moving to 'shake' the boat down, hoping for the Hamble to start with and then who knows! One lady we met recently had a mantra I like 'we are going here and see how it goes' perfect 😊. A big thank you goes out to Simon for your help with the electrics. Much love the pirates xxx The rigger came to eye the boat up today, now we have to endure the long wait of how much she is going to cost us this time😕 I get the feeling it is going to be more than her normal £1000 average per job! But hey ho the big picture we will be a fully functional sailing boat 😊😊😊😊 Well today has seen improvement galore, Mike and a friend pulled through the cables for a brand new wiring! The mast fittings are all sanded and painted ready to refit to the masts fingers crossed we can get the riggers in this week 😳eek |
